Xbrane targets Korea with Spherotide deal

Executive Summary

Xbrane Biopharma has signed a distribution agreement with Korean novel drug and medical device supplier BL&H to market the Swedish firm’s Spherotide (triptorelin) generic in South Korea. Xbrane is set to receive a “mid-single digit million Krona license fee” for the exclusive rights to the controlled-release injectable. Noting that both companies would share the profits, the Swedish biosimilars and injectables specialist said that launch was expected in 2019 at the earliest.
