Executive Summary

Finalists across all 14 categories of the Global Generics & Biosimilars Awards 2021 have been revealed ahead of the awards ceremony on 10 November, following record entries this year.

Finalists in all categories of the Global Generics & Biosimilars Awards 2021 have been revealed today, after our judges evaluated a record number of entries in 2021 ahead of the awards ceremony in November.

Our shortlist – which is available here – includes the leading lights of the off-patent industry, competing across 14 separate categories.

The Global Generics & Biosimilars Awards 2021, recognizing activities undertaken in the off-patent sector between 1 July 2020 and 30 June 2021, are sponsored by Adalvo, Aurobindo, Pharmacloud and Zentiva.

This year, the ceremony – which is free to attend – will take place in Milan, Italy on 10 November. Full details of the timing of the event and how to register are available here.

Now in their eighth year, the GGB Awards celebrate successes across the generics, biosimilars, and value-added medicines industries and represent a highlight of Generics Bulletin’s calendar.

Top prizes include our Company of the Year awards, recognizing the overall global company of the year as well as leading companies in the EMEA, Americas and Asia-Pacific regions.

Major acquisitions, business developments and initiatives from the past year will also be celebrated, along with specific achievements in biosimilars and value-added medicines, the regulatory sphere and in intellectual property strategy.

Company leadership will also be recognized, as well as the top industry partners and active pharmaceutical ingredient suppliers. Meanwhile, corporate social responsibility activities will also be represented, in a category supported by International Health Partners.
